about

Legend to some, myth to others; feared by all. You may have heard of it or this may be your first time. Thumbknobulist is a video game system; its creators unknown. It's existence has been known for 40 years and it is still said to be one of the most sophisticated pieces of mind/perception altering technology to ever exist. The biggest mystery surrounding Thumbknobulist is that anybody who has ever owned one is not able to be here to tell us about it. The system itself seems only to be known on official record in one place, the FBI's database on missing person's.

Four decades, over two hundred missing person's cases, and over a thousand witness statements have led top investigators to believe that the most complex yet user-friendly video game console, Thumbknobulist, was somehow connected to the disappearance of it's users. A binding fact in all of the cases on record is that no more than one week after purchasing a Thumbknobulist game console, the person who played it the most would disappear along with the system, both never to be heard from again.

There are no advertisements, no receipts, and no store owners have any recollections of selling the game system. Dozens of witnesses have described some of the different types of games that were available: the reports are often conflicting but only in small details. Thumbknobulist has been said to be the Necronomicon of video game systems; ready to take the soul of any person willing to test their courage. Nobody has ever beaten one of the system's games and friends and family do not believe that beating a game caused the disappearance of their loved one nor do they believe that it could bring them back.

The following album of music presented here is believed to be the closest representation of what the video game's soundtrack might sound like. The names of the games were compiled from eye-witness testimonies and the music has been designed and structured by the top experimental music engineers from around time and space.

This music was not made for your enjoyment but as a warning.
If ever you hear sounds like these; seek shelter and contact the local authorities immediately.

Nothing can stop Thumbknobulist.
